Jennifer and Joel* July 24, 2010

Jennifer and Joel got married on July 24th. She wanted a classic black and white crisp clean wedding, which is what we accomplished!

Below are an array of pictures from the day. The room looked great with white linen and white bows. She did a great job with adding a touch of color in the centerpieces and with the flowers for the cake. Jennifer is very crafty and did her own Menus and Escort Cards. And I am pretty sure she individually wrapped every favor and put a bow on them!

The best thing about Jennifer was she had a vision from the start. She always knew what she wanted.

Quote from Photographer

"The Hilton Boston Back Bay is a hidden gem with regards to your typical Boston wedding venue. Nestled in the heart of Boston, it offers a variety of scenic views, picture perfect for your formal portraits and all within close proximity to the Hotel. The ballroom is spacious and has that modern look and feel that is lacking in many reception venues today."

A few ideas that I like

I am BIG into the paper laterns, which is why there are two pictures of them on here. I think they are so cute- but it definitely depends on your venue. You can't use them just anywhere.

The above idea is super cute! They took pictures of all of their guests who are married or are engaged and hung them up. I think that is an awesome way to incorporate your guests and show that you are thinking about them. You could do the same thing with pictures of you and your sweetie! I am a HUGE fan of pictures. I love reliving a great moments in my life. You could take the above idea and put pictures of you two as children, or through the years with you two and your friends. It is a great DIY project.

Just something as small, and inexpensive, can make a big difference. The napkin above gives a great idea to just add a little something/color to the table set up.

Christine and Joe* July 10, 2010

Christine and Joe got married on July 10th. A wedding whos main focus was food- or atleast that was Joe's Mom's main concern. She wanted to make sure that her big Italian Family was fed well! They added an Anitpasto plate to their dinner to add another course along with a dessert station towards the end of the evening. Both were a big hit! :)

I loved their table numbers! Very creative of Christine! She made her own and we used our table number stands. As you can tell from the pictures below, purple was one of their colors. which looks perfect in our ballroom.

I loved that the florist used different shades of purples in the centerpieces.

The table numbers are so creative. And I love how they have their name with their new last name a bit larger in prettier font. You can see the table number a little better in the picture before of the whole table.

I'm have some news...

I have officially joined the wedding planning club! Well I guess you could say that I already in the club since I help and plan with the brides here at the hotel... but I got engaged last week!! And now it is a totally different ballgame!

Now I get to experience it with all of you! I'm so excited!!

Jennifer and Trevor* June 26, 2010

Jennifer and Trevor got married on June 26th. I am still a tad behind on these but I am getting there! :)

Jennifer and Trevor were a pleasure to work with. I worked with Jennifer Mother, Pauline, alot. Who is the sweetest women ever! They always knew exactly what they wanted, I just helped guide them along the way.

Their number of guests came in a bit lower then planned, so we made a last minute decision to change the room around a bit. We did the normal set up, with the dance floor in the middle, but we only used 3/4ths of the ballroom. It worked out perfectly.

They added a dessert station for a late night snack towards the end of the evening. Which was a huge hit!

Where can we take pictures at the hotel?

One of the most common questions that I get is "Where can we take pictures at the hotel?". My usual answer goes on to explain that we provide a bridal party room that you can take pictures in, but you are more than welcome to take pictures anywhere in the hotel. I usually give examples like the lobby, the pool deck, or even in a sleeping room the windows have amazing views behind them. There are tons of places to take pictures outside in the area too. There are the Public Gardens, the Christian Science Center, or the green space in the middle of the Prudential Center. Even fun creative pictures outside near some of the amazing buildings in the area is creative.

I always recommend bringing your photographer to the hotel so that they can get an idea of the space and to see what they can come up with creatively.
Devon John Photography did just that!

Kristen and Shaun got married in May, which I posted pictures of, but I HAD to share some of their professional pictures that I stole of Kristen's facebook page. :)

The pictures are amazing and creative and I am completely blown away- so I had to share them.

Nikki and Tom* June 5, 2010

Nikki and Tom were before Frank and Lina so this is a week out of whack, but that is ok!

Nikki and Tom incorporated both heritages on their wedding day. They had a Tea Ceremony for the Chinese Tradition and then had a Hindu ceremony. They had their ceremony in the Ballroom, cocktail reception was in the Pre-Assembly/Prefunction area, and then their guests went back into the ballroom for dinner and dancing. It was a quick room turn for us, but it happened perfectly even with some time to spare.
