Nikki and Tom* June 5, 2010

Nikki and Tom were before Frank and Lina so this is a week out of whack, but that is ok!

Nikki and Tom incorporated both heritages on their wedding day. They had a Tea Ceremony for the Chinese Tradition and then had a Hindu ceremony. They had their ceremony in the Ballroom, cocktail reception was in the Pre-Assembly/Prefunction area, and then their guests went back into the ballroom for dinner and dancing. It was a quick room turn for us, but it happened perfectly even with some time to spare.

Frank and Lina* June 12, 2010

I know I know, I am a little behind on my blog. It has been a crazy summer that is for sure. One more wedding this weekend- Rowena and Chris- then I have a break for 6 weeks.

Below are pictures from Frank and Lina's wedding. Cutest Couple! She's from Columbia so she incorporated that by icluding coffee beans in their centerpieces- how appropriate!

My favorite part was having rose petals to put on the tables, as well as adding them to the escort card table. It just added a little something extra. Especially when I dropped them AFTER I placed the cards on the table and kept them wherever they fell.

Her favors were perfect for her coffee theme!

Frank's Mother has passed away, so a nice way to incorporate her in the day was a frame picture of him and her when he was younger. It looks very nice with the votives, the rose petals and the Bouquet bought just for her. And the fact that we put it on the piano (which was my idea) was the best part. It was the perfect place to honor his mother.

Molly and Geoffrey* May 30, 2010

With 2 weddings in one weekend, Memorial Day Weekend was a busy one for me! I loved every minute of it.

Molly and Geoffrey planned their weekend in a short time period- 3 1/2 months! We all worked as a great team and put together an amazing day! With Geoffrey in D.C. working as a nurse and Molly up here in Boston working as a doctor you can only imagine how little time they had to plan everything in the small time frame. With weekend trips up to boston and late nights spent planning, Molly and Geoffrey pulled off an amazing wedding for their family and friends. They did a great job incorporating their family hertiages/tradition along with their love for national parks(their table names were named after them)!

Their cake was one of my favorites, as the flower design going down the side was amazing and added just a little something extra.

Green is my favorite color- so I loved anything and everything that they had that was green! :) I'm biased about the color!

Nicole and Emmerson *May 29th, 2010

I had the absolute pleasure of working with an amazing couple on their wedding this past May. They booked 15 months before their wedding, and those 15 months felt like they flew by.

They didnt want to use the chair covers, so they had Chavari Chairs instead, which are my favorite. I think that they add a little something extra to the room. Their DJ provided uplighting which looks amazing in our ballroom! The purple uplighting around the room and the charvari chairs- gives it a very different elegant look. It is interesting to see how different the ballroom looks everytime we have a wedding in it.

One idea that I really liked, that is becoming more popular, is have a video play of the bride and groom during a portion of the evening. Before their wedding, both Emmerson and Nicky, took the time with their DJ to film a small video of each of them telling the story of how they met. It was really cute, getting both sides and what each of them remember from when they first started dating. Then there was a small protion of them on screen together thanking their guests for coming. I love the idea, as some people attending the wedding may not know the story of the first day you met, or the first time you both said I love you. The more personal the wedding, the more amazing it is. I think atleast :)

Below are some pictures from their wedding.

Kristin and Shaun McAuliffe* May 8, 2010

Our second wedding of the season was on May 8th, 2010. Kristin and Shaun got married at Our Lady of Victories church and then had their cocktail hour and dinner in our Belvidere Ballroom.

They had 131 guests, enjoy scallops wrapped in bacon, mini chicken wellington, brie on a crostini with strawberry and grape and shaved tenderloin of beef with onion relish during the one hour cocktail reception, with open bar ofcourse! and then had a 4 course dinner that left their guests completely satisfied, and ready to get on the dance floor!

With Kristin’s love for presidents, (she gives tour at the JFK Library in Dorchester), the color scheme of eggplant and green, homemade beer (brewed by Shaun) as their favor, and the inside joke with friends of monchichi monkeys, everyone had an amazing time.

Check out the pictures below.

It was an honor to work with Kristin and her dad Jack. Both always had a positive attitude and always happy. They are a big-hearted family. They had nothing but good things to say about the night. I am posting their comments/review. The reviews are on our Wedding Wire Site.

I cannot thank the team at the Back Bay Hilton enough; everything was even better than I imagined it would be. Jocelyn, who coordinated the event, was very easy to work with and left me confident that every last thing would be taken care of... which is was. I went into my wedding day stress-free because I knew she had it all under control, and the reception itself was absolute perfection. EVERYONE had a great time... so much so that the party continued on downstairs at Forty Dalton (the bar/ restaurant) for a few more hours. That's the sign of a good party! I would recommend the Back Bay Hilton to anyone planning an event in Boston.
