Need a Hair Style for Your Wedding Day?!

Pampering your on your wedding day is the best idea yet! Getting your hair and make up done is a great idea. if you have the money. If not, no worries. You can always check to see if any of your friends or bridesmaids can help!

Short hair has been very popular this past winter. I am one that gave in to the trend. I cut off 10 inches! hey- it’s hair, it’ll grow back! I am hoping to get back to long hair before I get married- which will happen at some point.

Since there are so many styles and lengths of hair, always do a trial run. You want to make sure that it is something that will compliment you, your face shape and your dress. Do not go crazy changing your cut or color before your wedding. When you look back at your wedding album (20 years down the road) you want to be able to recognize yourself! I am posting a few pictures of some different styles that I like.

I LOVE The Knot. Click on the link below and get some great ideas from them..

I was surfing the web the other day and I found some pictures of wedding ideas and centerpeices that I really enjoyed. Some of them are from real weddings from The Knot.

I like the idea of programs for a reception. The one above I think is really cute and simple. I am a big fan of the color green- you will notice as you keep reading my blog! The pitures above is really simple to DIY too, which are my favorite!

Having a colored linen on the table really adds something extra to the room, and to the table. You can do a really simple centerpeice (like above). Colored table linen and napkins are always a nice touch to add color and use as a form of decoration and design.

I really liked this idea. I read on The Knot that this couple put their first name initials around their ceremony and reception site. these 2 letters are hanging from a tree at an outdoor wedding. I thought it was cute and creative.

Everyone is always on some sort of budget, and the above picture is a perfect example of an inexpensive centerpiece that is still elegant and beautiful.

This is also a DIY centerpiece. All you would need is a vase for the center (if you get married here, the votives are included in the package). You can go to any craft store to buy the rocks for the bottom (or if you live near the ocea, take a walk with your fiancé and pick the rocks. It gives you something to do together in the planning stages and it adds something sentimental to the centerpieces.)

I would recommend talking to a florist about the flowers. I know that some will provide the flowers to you and you can put the centerpiece together yourself, or have your bridesmaids help. (Another great thing about having your reception here- I would be more than happy to do it for you!)
And for the bigger candle in the vase, you can buy those at the craft store as well. You can get fake petals at the store, but I would recommend asking your florist for them.

This one is beautiful, especially if you are looking for a taller centerpiece. you can pick any color for the flowers too, so I think its perfect for any wedding- if it is indoors or out!

I have ALWAYS been a fan of the above centerpieces. I am not sure why but I really like the branches and how you can hang anything from them. The second one, they have the paper lanterns hanging from just a few which is really cute. While the top picture is plain and simple.

Notice that all the tables have votive candles on them. I recommend these no matter what. You want to make sure that you have the right lighting in the reception room. Lightening sets the ton for the event. You want to make sure that there is enough lighting for your guests sitting at the table, who make not like the lights really low during the dancing portion of the evening. Make sure that your venue can dim your lights throughout the evening. Having it dim during dinner and then get lower for the dancing portion lets the guests know that it is time to get on the dance floor and enjoy the DJ or Band.

Melissa and Jonathan November 7, 2010

I thought that this was already on here, so I am terribly sorry that this wedding and its pictures are just getting posted now.

Our last wedding of the year was Melissa and Jonathan. They had their ceremony and reception with us.

Below are pictures of our Fenway Ballroom set up for their Ceremony. Along with the Pre Assembly, Westminster, and a few from the wedding.
